Site terms

The rules for using helio-app.com and a Helio account. The deal itself is in the terms and in each signed agreement.

Last updated Thu 1 Oct 2026Applies to helio-app.com, app.helio-app.com and the Helio iOS app

In short
  1. 1

Accounts open after an application. There is no sign-up form.

  2. 2

    What you write stays yours.

  3. 3

Deals found through Helio are made in Helio.

  4. 4

No bulk copying, no probing, no pretending to be someone else.

  5. 5

A signed agreement comes first. Changing these terms never changes it.

Openmarks what a lawyer still writes or confirms. Each section gives our plain words first, then the legal wording the lawyer completes.

01Who these terms are for

Everyone who visits helio-app.com or has a Helio account. If you sign an agreement for a product, the agreement comes first; these terms cover the rest of the site.

02Your account

Experts and product builders get an account after Helio accepts their application. You sign in with a link we email, valid 15 minutes and once, or with Google or Apple. Whoever can read your email can sign in, so keep it safe.

Buyers need no account. They act through links we email, each for one purpose, valid 30 days and cancellable.

03What you write

Applications, problem texts, notes and messages stay yours. You let Helio show them where the product needs it, for example a problem text on its public page once you approve it.

Everything is plain text. Before an agreement, contact details in notes are hidden and links do not open; a link to another site always shows its full domain.

04What is not allowed

Copying the site or the people directory in bulk, probing it for weaknesses, pretending to be someone else, sending spam through Helio, and taking a deal found through Helio outside it.

If an expert and a product builder build the same problem together outside Helio within 24 months, Helio’s 10% of its net revenue stays owed. The period is set by the lawyer.

05What is public

Profiles, product pages, version history and the open statements are public. A split by person appears only when both people agree. The privacy notice has the details.

06The site itself

We work to keep Helio available and correct. Figures marked Example are examples, not promises.

07Ending

You can ask to close your account at any time. Signed agreements, statements and money already earned are not affected: they follow their own terms.

08Changes

When these terms change, the version and the date at the top change, and members get an email before the change applies. A change to these terms never changes a signed agreement.

09Law and disputes

Which law applies and which court decides are being set with a lawyer. Consumers can use CICAP in Porto and the complaints book; the legal notice has both.
